Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz thin spaghetti
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup onions (diced)
  • 1 tablespoon garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups chicken broth
  • 1 ½ cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese (shredded)
  • 1 lb bacon (crumbled)

Instructions
 

  • Cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large deep skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the diced onions and sauté until tender and translucent, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Add the butter and stir until melted.
  • Sprinkle in the all-purpose flour and cook, stirring constantly, until lightly golden, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Slowly pour in the chicken broth and whole milk, whisking constantly to prevent lumps.
  • Stir in the shredded parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
